Access to the church is barrier-free. However, to access the immediate vicinity of the sudarium behind the altar, there are stairs that must be overcome.

BY CAR
From Rome: Take the A 25 motorway towards Pescara, exit at Alanno-Scafa, and follow the signs to the “Santuario del Volto Santo” basilica.
From Pescara: Take the federal road Ss 5 (Tiburtina-Valeria) towards Popoli, exit at Ponte Alba, and follow the signs to the “Santuario del Volto Santo” basilica.
From Bologna: Take the A 14 motorway going south and then from Pescara take the A 25 towards Rome, exit at Alanno-Scafa, and follow the signs to the “Santuario del Volto Santo” basilica.
From Bari: Take the A 14 motorway going north and then from Pescara take the A 25 towards Rome, exit at Alanno-Scafa, and follow the signs to the “Santuario del Volto Santo” basilica.

From Rome: Departure from Tiburtina railway station forecourt to Pescara; in Pescara continue with the ARPA line bus going to Pescara-Manoppello-Serramonacesca.
